LJ HOLMES PRESENTS: LOVE DELIVERY

Failure!

The word bounces

around inside my head like a

pinball racking up points till my brain goes

I didn't set out to be a failure, and certainly not so young,

As a child, I played dress up and with my friends and

dolls, imagining how wonderful it would be to reach adulthood, marry, and live

happily ever after. Normally two-out-of-three would be great odds, right? Except I messed up on the

"Happily Ever After" part.

I remember my friends telling me, probably because it happened again JUST last night,

divorce is no big deal, but they lied. It changes you, even if

divorce is the only logical recourse, it's still a

How could I have been so blind? What made me think what we'd shared in the beginning, was so

perfect? How do I ever

my own judgment again?

"Get back on the horse, and ride again," my friends all say; the same friends that tell me divorce is no big deal. They

lied about that, so I'm pretty sure

climbing on that horse again is not a smart way for me to go. Besides I've got

real issues to concern myself with.

Like...maybe I should become something...something independent. How? Okay, maybe I need to take some

baby steps here.

Work! I probably should think about that, since it really is true money does not grow on trees. Being a

waitress at the

donut shop doesn't sound very glamorous does it? But it's good, steady work...a

stepping stone?

It certainly is a new start, and with that

"failure" word bopping in and out of my brain, a new start sounds right to me. My boss is

cool, and the customers? They're mostly cool too.

I was adapting really well until the day I noticed him...the six foot hunk of a

delivery guy. I so did not WANT to notice him! Didn't want to notice ANY guy. Hardly matters now, though. I've noticed him and there's no turning back the

hands of time.

Still, there are just some things you know right off really can't be good, right?

Love Delivery by Penny Lockwood Ehrenkranz is releasing from the

Muse It Up side of Muse Publishing, Inc, on August 12th...That's

right around the corner!

Just take a good look at this cover

done by Muse's very own

Cover Art Goddess, Delilah K. Stephans. Doesn't it make you

hungry?

The minute my daughter, Best Selling Author Kat Holmes saw it she said,

"YUM!"

So a quick recap:

Ann works at the Donut Shop, Tom delivers and

sparks begin flying as insistently as

powdered sugar snow storms off

cream filled delicacies. As a devotee of delicious confections, this is a story you just cannot pass up. I mean seriously, where else can you devour

forbidden sweets without worrying about them going right to your

hips?
