Halloween is my favorite time of year. Cooler weather that smells like the north. Dark nights are seductive, that chill in the air calls my name. Right now it seems like so much is possible. The change in season turned the page. We're no longer Summer children, you can feel it in the rotation of the earth. Roo is excited to be outside, she moves around at a running pace. Something haunting exists in the winter, something good around the corner. The other side of the pillow, the heavier blankets, the moment everything was different.
