Greetings from Niteroi: Leila Zimmermann's place

This is the kitchen of one of my best friends: Leila. She is fashion designer and also stylist. Her kitchen was isolated from the living by a wall. She decided to open part of the wall to give space to a counter so that she could have a view of the coast of Rio while working in the kitchen. That is her view:

Her apartment is small but still she found solutions for storage and to make it more pleasant. Bellow: the two pictures on the wall she bought when in N.Y. on a street market. They were saved from a sunk ship and have therefore water marks:

Despite being an apartment of modern architecture, she softened the whole space by adding antique pieces such as this Venetian mirror:

And this old bag serves as a piece of decoration on one of the shelves with CD's:

One of her prides are these jewel boxes she inherited form her family. It is the coast of Rio, with Botafogo beach and Sugarloaf mountain:

While in the kitchen she opted for some irreverence...

O banheiro tem potes e acessorios antigos. The bathroom has pretty old pots and bottles.

Some more vintage touch: these jewel holders.

She is really mada about these dolls. See another one:

And the ones bellow were made by herself. Ela própria fez e pintou esses:
